Plein Air Painting

Plein air painting is a technique where artists paint outdoors, directly from the natural landscape.

This method allows artists to observe and capture the ever-changing light, shadows, and colors of nature in real-time.

In this 3-day workshop, learn to capture the vibrant natural world directly from life.

The first two sessions will focus on foundational techniques in the studio.

The final session will take place at Meyer Park along the Arkansas River, where you'll apply your skills outdoors.

Master observation of light, shadows, and landscapes in real time, while honing composition, brushwork, and color mixing skills.

Bring your own supplies and lunch.
