Amy Scoggins-Unyielding: A Family’s Fight Against Chronic Illness

  • Arts On Main 415 Main Street Van Buren, AR, 72956 United States (map)

Immersive mixed media constructions, personal artifacts, and fragments of medical evidence gives form to what is often hidden… the quiet battles, the unanswered questions, and the fierce persistence of caregiving shared across a family and echoed throughout their medical professionals. Each piece bears witness to suffering endured by those hurting and the collective refusal to let silence or dismissal have the final word.

These works are a call to attention, compassion, and action. They honor resilience, highlight the power of family advocacy,  and transform despair and fear into visible, urgent testimony as we push deeper into medical discoveries.

Amy Scoggins teaches drawing at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith and has exhibited nationally. Her work has been recognized by the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Unyielding is her most personal and advocacy-driven exhibition to date.
