Over five immersive days, instructor Grace Andrews will guide students through every stage of the filmmaking process, from screenwriting and directing to acting, cinematography, and editing, using “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde as their creative foundation.
Students will reimagine scenes from this classic comedy of manners, develop storyboards, frame compelling shots, direct performances, and bring witty dialogue to life on camera.
By the end of the week, participants will collaborate to produce and premiere their own short film inspired by Wilde’s sharp humor and timeless themes.
This camp blends hands-on technical training with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun, turning classic literature into cinematic magic.
Perfect for aspiring filmmakers, actors, and storytellers.
March 23 - 27, daily 10 am - 1 pm
The Short Film Premier will take place on Friday, March 27th at 1:30pm in the King Opera House.
