This exhibition completes the journey from the hidden spark of inspiration to the finished artwork. It represents the search to perceive and portray the essential character of a scene illuminated in a flash, and answers the questions why paint this scene in this place in this moment. For landscape painter Theresa Grillo Laird, the discovery at a young age that nature speaks to her in a language that shows a fuller picture than is at first obvious, has propelled her on a life long journey to illuminate nature's message contained in it's quietest places. Paintings include these contemplative moments in scenes from Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, California and Arkansas.
