"I come from a family of craftsmen; all masons. When we moved here to Arkansas, I was able to take my studies, a degree in Art History, and parlay that into the trade that I have today. I am a multimedia artist. I work with about 40 different mediums; woodstone, glass, fiber, and design. I also paint, sculpt-all those different things. You really feel blessed to be able to work at something you feel like you were created to do. I feel like I have done something for [our communities' artists], and given them things that otherwise they were never going to have. As an artist, I see myself as a communicator.
