Arts On Main is very excited to bring this special exhibition celebrating our natural parks. Starting in March of 2022, Heart of America Artists Association began a series of plein air (outdoor painting) events in the five major geographical regions of the State of Arkansas to honor the parks. Starting in January 2026, this exhibition will travel throughout the state of Arkansas. In the exhibition, artists will be exhibiting a sizable artwork, and along with it will be a smaller étude (study) that inspired it, acquired from their participation in one of the park events. The traveling exhibit will thus be a “Field to Finish” exhibit that showcases both paintings. Descriptive text will be provided for each painting describing the subject, location, and why the artist chose that specific theme. This will help in educating viewers on the Arkansas Parks.
